Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American singer and actress is a former model. Her most famous work is the star of the 1984 Prince Purple Rain film and lead singer of the girl group Apollonia 6 It was among the many female artists who benefited of Prince's involvement throughout the 1980s. Patricia Kotero began her acting and modeling career in Santa Monica California, in the late '70s. The first time she appeared was on CHiPS. Kotero was the female lead for Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at when he was changing her name). The same year, she took over Vanity in the form of the group Vanity 6 as well as performed alongside the group under the brand name Apollonia 6 in the film.
